About James…

James McAdam’s interest for designing interiors began at a young age. Growing up on the coast of Long Island, he spent hours rearranging furniture and decorating his family’s homes. His design philosophy stems from the belief that if something is worth doing, it is worth doing well. With a passion for décor and an eye for seeing the potential of a space he began buying real estate and renovating properties for clients to enjoy. 

A graduate of The Fashion Institute of Technology, Mr. McAdam began his professional career at Armani. James’ background of twelve years leading the sales and marketing strategies of apparel giants, has equipped him with invaluable skills in building relationships and achieving client satisfaction. 

James McAdam Design was launched in 2006 and has completed multiple projects in the Hamptons, New York, Aspen, Palm Beach, and Los Angeles. Growing quite a following with young Hollywood James spends a lot of time traveling between the east and west coast. 
Being active in the design community and participating in numerous designer showhouses, James honed his skills and has had the privilege of working alongside seasoned professionals. He has the distinct ability to create interiors with both modern and traditional elements which seamlessly transition into one cohesive vision.

“Nature provides the most incredible canvas and color palette”, says Mr. McAdam. He enjoys visually integrating the interior with the exterior principally reflecting the client’s needs, personality, individual style and existing architecture.
